Music has played a long and important part in the life of
Christ Church Cathedral

From the various pipe organs that have led the music of liturgy to the many voices of past and present choir members, music has played and continues to play a prominent role in the life of worship in this place. In addition to supporting its own rich musical history, the Cathedral has been a constant musical force in the community, hosting solo and ensemble artists, choirs from around the world and much more.

• Director of MusicKevin Jones became Director of Music and Organist at the Cathedral in June 2007 and was seated as Canon Precentor & Director of Music in 2008. He holds MM degrees in organ performance and collaborative piano and a BA in organ performance. Under his direction, the choir has recorded two CDs and taken a choral residency at Ely Cathedral. Kevin presents midweek organ recitals and directs weekday evensongs.more..
• Cathedral Choir Originally a men and boys choir, the Cathedral choir has grown to include girl's and adult women’s voices as well. Our mission and purpose is to facilitate and help lead the worship of Almighty God in this place.
