Interim Dean Harlon L. Dalton puckishly describes himself as an “African-American male child of God and of the ‘60’s”. A graduate of Harvard College (magna cum laude) and Yale Law School, his first career was as a public interest lawyer in New York City, and as an Assistant Solicitor General in Washington, D.C. His second career was as a Professor of Law at Yale, where he is now an emeritus.
Our general vision of work lies in promoting the spiritual and numerical growth of the Hispanic congregation and participating in all the activities programmed by the Cathedral in a general sense: pastoral care and ministration of Communion to the sick, the celebration of Holy Eucharist, and preaching. We advance in this purpose, having forums for conversations, listening to the leaders and presenting them with some proposals for formation topics that promote the commitment and strength of its members, such as: Evangelism, Christian Stewardship, Christian Education, Anglicanism, and Formation in Integral Health, among others.
Cathedral Deacon Bonnie supports the Cathedral Congregations, and its leaders, in their participation in God’s mission in service to the poor, needy, and oppressed. Bonnie also takes leadership with new initiatives in consultation with the Dean of the Cathedral. The deacon also serves liturgically for Sunday and special services proclaiming the Gospel, setting the table, preaching on the needs of the world and sending the congregations out to serve the Lord. In addition, Bonnie also serves liturgically and/or as Chaplain to the Bishop, as is appropriate during ECCT gatherings, and services at our Cathedral.

John supports Cathedral clergy and the Altar Guild in matters of worship logistics.
Peggy assists the Dean in planning and executive the worship life of the Cathedral and of the Diocese, particularly for special events. In addition, the Lay Liturgical Coordinator takes the lead in facilitating baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
Richard oversees the livestreaming of Cathedral services and events, and operates the Cathedral’s
professional theater lighting system.

Executive Assistant and Program Coordinator
Carolina oversees building use, building maintenance and repair, office systems, external and internal communications, and personnel.
As Finance Officer, Cindy oversees and implements all accounting-related processes including, but not limited to: tracking disbursements; tracking receipts; recording payroll; managing endowment drawdowns; managing trust fund payments; preparing financial and donor statements; aiding in preparing the annual budget; and serving as the Cathedral’s liaison with its auditors. As Archivist, Cindy designs, modifies, and maintains a records management system and an archives management system.
As Executive Assistant, Gary provides support to Dean Harlon. He is also in charge of the day-to-day workings of the Cathedral office; he liaises with the leaders of Church By The Pond, Church Street Eats, and Dwelling in the Word; coordinates and formats the weekly Cathedral service bulletin and the weekly e-bulletin; and updates the Cathedral website.

The Spanish Music Coordinators develop and coordinate the Latino/ Hispanic Music Ministry of the Cathedral’s Spanish- speaking congregation, working in consultation with the Cathedral’s Music Director and the Dean. They function as primary musicians for the Spanish-speaking service.

Marianne Vogel holds a Bachelor of Music in music theory from the University of Connecticut and studied organ with David Spicer for over ten years, eventually becoming his assistant at the First Church of Christ in Wethersfield, CT, where she was associate organist for four years. She is a Colleague with the American Guild of Organists, and has served congregational churches in Broad Brook, Hebron and Coventry, as well as the First United Methodist Church in Middletown, CT. Marianne is also a violinist, and worked towards a graduate performance certificate on that instrument at the Hartt School of Music. She currently plays with the West End String Quartet, various orchestral groups in Connecticut, and is a performer and music coordinator for the Golden Scroll Soloists, a busy string ensemble that provides live musicians for events throughout New England.

In addition to leading the adult choir's soprano section (the highest part in a choir) and leading the group classes for our Youth Choir, Sarah also manages the website. She oversaw a platform transition and redesign of cccathedral.org, and focuses on its continued improvement for the user and staff experience.

Very little makes Kelley Elizabeth Kelly, mezzo-soprano, happier than singing to the glory of God. A church singer since she could first hold a hymnal open, she believes music to be her truest form of prayer and is honored to serve as a section leader with Christ Church Cathedral. She has previously served as section leader in various area churches and currently also sings with the St. Patrick - St. Anthony Treble Clef Choir and with CONCORA. She has a bachelor’s degree in music from Smith College, extensive choral experience, a very patient husband, and three exceedingly energetic children who tend to write in her scores when she’s not looking.
Phoenix Sheerin
Tenor Section Leader
Phoenix Sheerin, tenor, has always been deeply attached to music. He started his musical journey singing at age seven, which eventually turned into learning clarinet and saxophone, as well as participating in musical theater. Some notable roles include Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and most recently, he has taken on the challenge of playing in the pit band for Chess. He is set to graduate from CT State Community College: Manchester in May 2026 with his second associates degree in music, studying voice under Dr. Nadia Aguilar-Steinberg. He has committed to Eastern Connecticut State University for Fall 2026, where he will be double majoring in vocal performance and psychology. In addition to his studies, Phoenix has sung with a variety of choral groups, including the Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, Chorus Angelicus, and Crescendo. To Phoenix, music is a way to communicate and express emotions in a way that no other medium can, and he is honored to use it to connect with the congregation at Christ Church Cathedral.
Scott Patrick
Bass Section Leader
Scott Patrick (he/him) hails from the great state of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Connecticut. During undergrad he studied voice under Rod Nelman, sang as a Choral Scholar at Storrs Congregational Church, performed in several UConn Opera productions, and held positions of President, Secretary, and Bass Section Leader for UConn Choirs. Scott also served as a bari-tenor, beatboxer, and Assistant Music Director for Extreme Measures, one of UConn’s gender-inclusive a cappella groups. Outside of Christ Church Cathedral, Mr. Patrick frequently performs with many ensembles across New England including Voce, CONCORA, the Hartford Chorale, the New Haven Chorale, Crescendo, Nota Cambiata, and Canticum Novum. Scott is truly blessed to live a life dedicated to the arts, and it remains his lifelong mission to continue spreading joy and healing through the powers of music.
